Century 21 Sponsors TV Segment

By Jennifer Harmon

PARSIPPANY, NJ -- Century 21 Real Estate LLC has extended its commitment to serving Hispanic consumers with the exclusive sponsorship of "Camino a Casa con Century 21" ("The Road Home with Century 21"), an educational real estate and home-related segment on the Telemundo television network's popular early morning show, "De Mananita."

The 12-segment educational series will air on "De Mananita" on Tuesday and Thursday mornings through June 23. Program topics include the importance and attainability of homeownership, preparing to buy a home, financing options, making an offer, home inspection, maintaining the home, preparing a home for sale and career opportunities as a real estate professional.

"Now in its third year, our 'Camino a Casa con Century 21' series has evolved to not only help guide viewers through the homebuying process, but it also helps those who may have already achieved homeownership maintain their home for personal enjoyment or for future sale," said Thomas Kunz, president and chief executive officer of Century 21 Real Estate.

The segments use a question-and-answer format with "De Mananita" hosts and Lucy Quinones, broker/manager of Century 21 Birchwood International in North Fort Myers, Fla.

Fluent in Spanish and English, Ms. Quinones has serviced the real estate needs of consumers in Florida's Lee, Collier and Charlotte Counties for nearly a decade. Ms. Quinones also sits on the board of directors for the Southwest Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

"While educating members of the Hispanic community about homeownership is the primary goal of 'Camino a Casa con Century 21,' another great benefit of programming like this is providing the viewer with the confidence to make an informed decision about one of the most significant transactions a person will conduct in his or her lifetime," said Ms. Quinones.

In addition to the two weekly segments on "De Mananita," consumers can also find information and resources related to buying, selling and owning a home on www.century21espanol.com. The site allows visitors to customize their online experience with My Century 21, which allows users to review and save property descriptions and contact information for Spanish-speaking sales professionals.

The Century 21 System is comprised of more than 7,200 independently owned and operated franchised broker offices in 36 countries and territories worldwide. Century 21 Real Estate is a subsidiary of Cendant Corp.
