Closing Loans More Easily

Everyone wants a closing to go more smoothly and document services providers, who know this, work hard to deliver exactly that to their clients. Mortgage Banking Systems, Fiserv and Compliance Systems, for example, provide technology that promises to make sure everything is in line with applicable laws. Del Mar Database's automation, meanwhile, helps lenders manage loan files and Guardian Mortgage Documents is now helping out with title and escrow services.

And the list goes on. No Red Tape, which uses Advectis' Blitz Docs software, stresses the value of using imaging, while Exstream offers customization. Hyland and Bisys have teamed up to deliver documents electronically.

Document services are popular, according to Del Mar Database president John Walsh. In this Special Report he tallies the extent to which his company has been able to attract new customers in the last couple of years. Such services also are important and a lot rides on them as a business strategy. Christine Kirby, president of Mortgage Banking Systems, notes on one of the pages that follow that billions of dollars of loans run through her company's system, and on another page, a Guardian Mortgage Services executive explains how important document services can be in wholesalers' transactions with brokers and correspondents.
