Byte Software Releases Updated Versions of its Classic and Standard LOS

James ComtoisKirkland, Wash.-based loan origination software provider Byte Software, a subsidiary of CBCInnovis, has recently released updated versions of its BytePro Standard and Byte Classic loan origination software offerings.

Version 2.0 of BytePro Standard, which was released in November 2006, offers field notes allowing users to visually flag any information in the program for follow up; the ability to open a file for read-only access if another user is editing the file; integration with a la mode's Mortgage XSites; enhanced support for option ARM loans; new customizable statuses, roles and parties; and redesigned order out forms for appraisal, title, escrow, flood, hazard insurance and survey.

Byte has made Update 2 on version 2.0, which, according to the company, is a minor release with additional interfaces and other minor changes. In the latest update, Byte added an interface to CBCInnovis ID Cross Check, a borrower authentication service that can help to detect fraud. Additionally, the company added interfaces to Bank of America, DocMagic, ComplianceEase, SARMA and NCO Credit Services. Updated the ClickLoan interface.

Byte also updated the Massachusetts Mortgage Broker Disclosure and updated the FHA maximum loan amounts. The company also updated the PDF printing feature.

The latest release of Byte Classic is Version 5.400. Version 5.400 provides compatibility with Windows Vista and includes a number of new interfaces.

With version 5.400 of Byte Classic, the company added the ability to print the loan officer's license number on the 1003 and comparison and added an interface to Bank of America. It also updated the ClickLoan interface. Also, the HUD1 and HUD1A closing documents were updated to more closely match the HUD model forms.

The following closing documents interfaces have been added: DocMagic, IDS, DocuTech ConformX and PeirsonPatterson. The following credit interfaces have been added: CIS Information Services, SARMA and NCO Credit Services

Only existing Byte customers current on annual support can install this version.
