American Guardian to Offer Perks to CAMB Members

By Alton Gary Simpson

American Guardian Home Loans, a wholesale mortgage lender specializing in alt-A and nonprime products, and the California Association of Mortgage Brokers, the state affiliate of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers, have teamed up to offer a preferred pricing program and other benefits for CAMB member brokers.

Kamran Khosravi, president of American Guardian and a CAMB member since 1999, noted that this partnership has been a work in progress for at least six months. "The whole goal is to have a benefit for CAMB members," he said. "They are a different type of broker. CAMB brokers contribute to the betterment of the industry." Mr. Khosravi hopes that American Guardian's partnership with CAMB will help increase the association's membership.

Of course, American Guardian's partnership with CAMB is about more than being altruistic. The 4,100-plus CAMB member network provides American Guardian with an expanded avenue to develop new business through advertising and networking opportunities. "American Guardian's sustained growth is based on consistently meeting the needs of our committed broker network and making their interests our own," said Mr. Khosravi.

"Our partnership with CAMB signifies our dedication to our brokers and offering the best products and programs possible."

CAMB brokers receive a preferred rate sheet and a reduction in lender fees. In addition, American Guardian will sponsor broker training such as webinars and has created a Web portal offering industry news, marketing tools and Web-based CRM exclusively for CAMB members and American Guardian-approved brokers.

"We are pleased to have American Guardian on board and part of our Member Benefit Program," said Jack Williams, president of CAMB. "The company is committed to CAMB and we are confident our brokers will find a great benefit from their products and services. American Guardian and CAMB look forward to working very closely with CAMB member brokers to help them manage their internal costs and further enhance their customer service."

American Guardian is also licensed in Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Florida, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico and Oregon. Mr. Khosravi said that if the relationship between his company and CAMB proves successful that he would expand it to include other NAMB state affiliates. He said that the Florida Association of Mortgage Brokers would most likely be the next state that American Guardian seeks a partnership with.
