Subprime Lending Industry Vets Open New Mortgage Firm By James Comtois Four industry veterans have opened a new mortgage brokerage in Florida that offers mortgage products for every need. Leslie Swart, Marci Walker, and Mike and Meadow Tullio have opened Blue Skye Lending, a full-service mortgage lending firm in Lakewood Ranch, Fla. The new mortgage firm offers such products as interest only loans, fixed option ARM programs, construction loans, loans for first-time homebuyers, low- to no-doc programs, jumbo and super jumbo loans, 100% financing and a rate watch program. "Blue Skye Lending has secured relationships with a number of nationally renowned lenders, allowing us to find loan programs that best meet the needs of borrowers," said Ms. Swart. "We also work with home sellers and listing agents to create financing activities that attract buyers." Ms. Swart's 14-year financial background includes bank management, private banking and working as a financial advisor for investment firms. Ms. Walker's 15-year financial background includes both mortgage and auto lending. Mr. Tullio has been involved in the real estate industry since 1996 and has been a mortgage broker for three years. Ms. Tullio has spent the past six years in the banking and mortgage industry, including a three-year position with Wachovia as a financial specialist.
