Nationstar Expands Retail Operations with New Cincinnati Call Center
By James Comtois
As part of a plan to expand its direct-to-consumer retail mortgage lending operations, Dallas-based subprime mortgage lender Nationstar Mortgage LLC opened a new centralized call center last month in Cincinnati.
John Butler, executive vice president of Nationstar Mortgage, believes the call center will open new opportunities and is excited about the development. "I look forward to the Cincinnati call center continuing our track record of successful growth, expansion and customer service," he said.
The expansion is not necessarily due to growth of subprime customers in Cincinnati or Ohio, but rather due to overall growth. The Cincinnati call center opening is part of the company's plans to expand its direct-to-consumer retail mortgage lending.
According to the company, the call center currently has sales staff of 20 loan officers and plans are to grow staffing over the next several months. The goal is to increase staff to 80 loan officers over the next few months with a long-term plan of 150 full-time employees by 2008. Daryl McLeod, senior vice president of new business direct sales, has relocated from Dallas to Cincinnati to manage the new center.
Nationstar Mortgage is actively recruiting for loan officers to staff the new call center. It is the fourth centralized location; in addition the company has centers in Dallas, Phoenix and Denver, originating mortgage loans and providing nationwide customer service.
