K. Hovnanian Sponsors Homebuyer Symposia in New Jersey
By James Comtois
As part of its ongoing "Ask Me Why" marketing campaign, K. Hovnanian, a New Jersey-based homebuilder that designs, constructs and markets a variety of for-sale housing in more than 367 residential communities in 18 states, is sponsoring several homebuyer symposia during September.
"Through our symposiums, we will be providing our prospects and buyers with the confidence necessary to be able to properly market their home for sale during this temporarily slower real estate market," said Michael Skea, vice president of marketing and sales for K. Hovnanian Homes.
The schedule of homebuyer symposia, all in New Jersey, is Sunday, Sept. 10, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Sea Oaks Country Club in Little Egg Harbor; Thursday, Sept. 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sheraton Edison Hotel - Raritan Center, Edison; and Sunday, Sept. 17 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sheraton Parsippany Hotel, Parsippany.
Each of these symposia will feature the following professionals from their respective fields: a mortgage broker, a Realtor, an accountant-financial planner, a real estate appraiser, an interior designer and a real estate attorney.
In June, K. Hovnanian unveiled its "Ask Me Why" campaign to educate potential homeowners of the reasons why now is a great time to buy a new home. As part of that campaign, K. Hovnanian has also implemented the "right pricing" of all its newly constructed homes at all of its communities.
"We have made sure that we are 'right pricing' our homes consistent with what our buyers in the market are demanding and to be certain that the value we're providing at each of our communities is superior to that which our competition is offering. If a homebuyer is having difficulty selling their existing home, we'll do what we can to help them," said Mr. Skea.
According to Mr. Skea, K. Hovnanian has noted a steady increase in the number of prospects who are visiting its communities as well as a greater number of deposits and contracts than had existed during the second quarter of this year since the inception of the "Ask Me Why" campaign.
The symposia are open to the public, but anyone who wants to attend must RSVP by Sept. 6 by calling (732) 623-6917.
